Hello, I found your site while searching around for 3d renderings of Revy’s cutlasses…. I’m trying to recreate them for a cosplay and my brother offered to make them for me if I can find a decent 3d model. Yours is the best I’ve seen anywhere. What are the chances you’d be willing to share your work with us? I will understand if you’d rather not, but please let me know either way. Thank you!

Great! Thanks for responding so quickly! I do a lot of research for my costumes and I often come across older blog posts that are helpful and comment with questions but I don’t often get replies.

Hello again! Sorry it’s been so long, we’ve run into a few set backs with the project, but we’ve started over and are instead making the guns out of wood. it’s going well so far! Almost done this set and it’s looking pretty impressive, if I dare say!
Anyways, we’re also starting on a set for Mr Chang, and I’m wondering if you’ve done any other gun models, because your 3d model of Revy’s cutlasses were instrumental in us getting this far.
I’m currently looking around the internet for a model to work off of for Chang’s Beretta 76 .22 LR’s, but I figured I’d ask if you already made one by any chance.
    Thanks again!

Hi! Glad to know that my 3D model has been useful 🙂 If you can show me a work in progress of your gun, that would be cool!
For Chang’s gun, unfortunately I didn’t make it in 3D, I thought of it a while ago but I’m really lacking references.

Can you see this album? http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150416644034046.454393.616574045&type=3
He’s a little further than that now, like there’s more detail and also a spring powered trigger 🙂
We broke a pens apart to get the tiny springs!
I have a really nice ref pic of the handles and like two pictures of them in action but i think we have the same issues with references. You probably need just as many reference shots to create a virtual gun as we do to make a material one.

No I can’t view the album (I don’t have a FB account anymore). If you could upload 1 or 2 photos somewhere (like imageshack.us or anything), that would be cool!
Yeah that’s it, I need a lot of refs to make a 3d model!
